Terms Bank Transfer of 50% of fee before commencement of work at least 7 days before arrival:
This is a fixed price which includes all government charges excepting Visas.
Note: Visa prices are dependent upon the type of Visa needed. For short term visitors a 30 day e-visa can be applied for online directly from the Indonesian Immigration Authorities. The e-visa includes the ability to be extended for a further 30 days. Each 30 day period costs 500,000 IDR. Go to
https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id/ to apply.
Our Process:
1) Please contact us online with and supply us as PDF or JPG
- Boat Registration Papers
- Picture of captain and ship
- Skippers Name and a copy of his passport photo page
- Copy of passport photo page for each crew member
- If any person has a visa a copy of the Visa document
- Passport photo of each person on crew list
2) Log in to the Customs web site https://vds.beacukai.go.id/YachtOnline/login.html and complete all the relevant information. If you find this too difficult, we will do this for you as we are authorized by Customs to do this on behalf of clients
3) Email or SMS us 7 days before arrival and confirm intended arrival date
4) 24 hours before arrival time advise us of approximate arrival time
5) When approaching Kupang either telephone us or announce your presence on VHF Channel 72 – we will be listening in.
6) Anchor at this google map’s location https://maps.app.goo.gl/nyeYTBxHKEQqD2ZS9 fly the yellow quarantine flag. The location is officially known as Pelabuhan Nunbaun Sabu but generally referred to as “NBS”
7) If the weather is dangerous, we will direct you to anchor at Semau Island which is 4 miles away. This is inconvenient but safe from wind and waves. It is used as a safe refuge by local fisherman and small boats. Please follow our advice as we take our customers safety very seriously. Even if it costs us time and money we would prefer our customers yachts and lives to remain risk free. The google location is https://maps.app.goo.gl/c52Q7FCgG5qXLNvg7 There is a ferry to the mainland passenger terminal at Tenau which is a 2 mile crossing and can be done in a tender if the weather is permitting.
8) We will arrange a visit by the Quarantine Autrhorities and notify the Harbor Master (KSOP).
9) We will take your passports and if you have not arranged an E-Visa we will assist and at this point you must pay the remaining 50% of our fee plus any Visa fees if you wish for us to get them for you instead of ordering online.
10) Generally speaking, the authorities trust our integrity and only Quarantine and Customs will inspect the boat. However, every department has the right to inspect or demand your presence. If the weather is bad, they may delay inspection or force you to attend their office. Indonesian authorities do not consider themselves public servants but rather as “authorities” and their welfare is considered far more important than yours. If you are required to visit any government office we will drive you there at our expense.
11) If you have pre-ordered water, fuel or other provisions we will deliver them to you, regrettably local suppliers will not take credit cards and require payment in cash.
12) Normally the entire process takes four hours. Once immigration have your passports you are free to move about Kupang even if Customs are yet to inspect you. The best days to arrive for Clearance are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday with Thursday representing a small risk. Arriving on Friday after office opening hours can be problematic. Some government officers are Muslim and may spend part of the day in prayer which can lead to the process not being finished until Monday. Our advice is arriving early on in the week and avoid public holidays.
13) If you arrived on Saturday or Sunday we can try to begin the process however we strongly advise against it as here we enter into an area of “negotiation which can be extremely expensive and arbitrary over which we regrettably have no control over their “charges” which will cause you extra expense.
14) We are delighted to help with hotel bookings, provisioning, hire cars (self driven or with driver) and we can help finding the limited spare parts that are available in Kupang.
We look forward to you contacting us
With Best Regards
Matteo
